Meet Our Team of Professional APA Editors
Founder & Senior Editor
Karen’s professional life has centred on educating others to improve how they communicate their message. She graduated with a BA with Distinction and moved to Japan, where she taught, created ESL courses, supervised English content in a bilingual magazine, edited bilingual novels, consulted, and wrote a weekly newspaper column. Since founding Editarians, she has specialized in APA Style, assisting hundreds of clients to craft their documents such that they convey accurately and concisely what was intended. She looks forward to collaborating with clients for years to come.
I had the privilege of working with Karen on my master’s thesis. Her editing skills were right on the money, and she did an expert job in adapting to my learning and working styles. She was professional, dependable, and was able to address my needs as the project evolved. She had that unique blend of intellectual and emotional intelligence, and she contributed in a significant way to the success of my paper!
Erin holds a master’s degree in communication. She has worked to prepare academic manuscripts, edited theses and dissertations, and revised organizational documents. Since 2006 she has worked with Editarians, helping clients to polish their writing while retaining their sense of voice. She can often be found at home with her laptop, a cup of tea, and a cat at her side.
Erin was absolutely amazing, and being able to “meet” over email created incredible flexibility. She helped me get my thesis done despite my moving countries and changing lifestyles. I am so grateful for her help and expertise. I would highly recommend this service.
Lori has a BA with an English major from Queen’s University. She likes to read, to write, and to run. Sometimes she likes to read and write while she runs. We’re just kidding; that would be dangerous. She does, however, like to sit safely at her desk and edit what others write, something she has been doing for 20-plus years. She has worked for Editarians since 2011. Lori enjoys people as much as she enjoys words, and she looks forward to working with you, or running with you, or both.
Lori, thanks for being so warm and welcoming, especially through emails. You’re definitely in the right line of work! It looks great. Thanks for the wonderful job you did. It was a pleasure working with you. You made the process simple.

Claire has a Business Administration Diploma, majoring in marketing, and over 10 years’ experience providing project management and administrative support, process management, business analysis, strategy, and planning functions. Some of her favourite ways to spend her time include reading, drawing, trying new recipes, tending to her garden, and exploring Kananaskis with her husband and dog. Claire loves to be challenged and learn new things; right now she is working on learning Adobe Creative Cloud and building her design skills!
I am very happy with the service I received. … Thank you! It has been great working with you. I will definitely continue to recommend your services!
“Success is doing ordinary things extraordinarily well.” —Jim Rohn
Mark has a BSc in Computer Science and has worked with numerous architectures, operating systems, and programming languages. His employers and consulting clients include small companies and multinational corporations in various countries around the world. He loves creating solutions that take the tedium out of people’s work tasks, eliminate redundant activities, and cause people to say, “Hey, I didn’t know you could do that!” Thanks to Mark, Editarians’ online collaboration has been orchestrated to hum along harmoniously (alright, we’ll stop now with the musical references).
I would highly recommend Editarians’ services to anyone needing to polish up their document to a very high standard. I’ve already recommended them to a friend finishing her thesis. The [project] website is easy to use, and there are clear policies on how the editing works and what the writer’s responsibilities are in the agreement, so there is no guesswork, which I so appreciate. This was an excellent experience.
